This exceptional project brings together cutting-edge robotics, design, AI and public participation. Soon, in the Czech Republic — and perhaps in the world — the first painting will be created by a robot based on a design from artificial intelligence. And it won't be just any robot — it builds on the principles ŠKODA AUTO routinely uses to spray-paint cars.
Together with Město=Galerie, ŠKODA AUTO and ABB, we've devised a project that uniquely brings together robotics, design, artificial intelligence and the participation of local people — Mladá Boleslav residents themselves are shaping how the large-scale work will look.

How did the project come about? For the fourth time at NFŠA, we're bringing the Město=Galerie festival to Mladá Boleslav, transforming the city's industrial streets into an open gallery. This year we joined forces with our long-standing partner ABB (with whom we develop EDU.Lab and the topic of technical education at humanities-focused schools, with the Edgar robot) and the creative team at ŠKODA Design to devise a project that shows public space is for everyone — and everyone can help shape it.
