The Škoda Auto Endowment Fund is strengthening its partnership with Rychnov nad Kněžnou

A school garden, bike paths, an arts school, a community center, or a new place for people to gather and share ideas. At first glance, these may seem like different projects, but in reality, they share a common goal: to promote the Rychnov region as a place where people can live, learn, create, and connect.

The Škoda Auto Endowment Fund is strengthening its partnership with Rychnov nad Kněžnou

We have signed a memorandum of cooperation with the city of Rychnov nad Kněžnou for the period 2026–2028. ✍️ This builds on a partnership through which we have supported local projects and organizations with over 11 million crowns in recent years.

Today, we’re taking another step forward. We’re starting by asking what the region truly needs. Together with the city, schools, organizations, and local residents, we’re identifying areas that can strengthen the region’s quality of life and resilience in the long term. Only based on these needs do specific projects emerge, and we seek ways to fund them.

Among the planned initiatives are, for example, a community garden at Javornická Elementary School, the development of the local elementary arts school, the expansion of the DDM Déčko facilities, an outdoor classroom, support for cycling infrastructure, improvements to the area around Ivanské Lake, a participatory budget, and the creation of a community and innovation hub. 👏

By 2028, we plan to jointly invest up to 15 million crowns in the region’s development. Even more important than the amount itself, however, is long-term cooperation and the ability to turn good ideas into concrete changes that help create a stronger, more resilient, and more connected community.

For us, the memorandum is more than just a signature on a piece of paper. It serves as a framework for collaboration with the city hall, schools, organizations, and people in the region, ensuring that good ideas don’t remain merely in people’s minds or on paper, but gradually take concrete shape.
