We're Launching Our Autumn Grant Calls: Family Care, Social Services, Nature and Scholarships for Secondary School Students

In September we kicked off the autumn round of grant programmes. Projects in the Mladá Boleslav, Rychnov and Vrchlabí areas can win support across the spectrum — from innovation in social services and help for carers, through nature and biodiversity protection, to scholarships for secondary school students for international stays. Detailed information and applications are HERE.

We're Launching Our Autumn Grant Calls: Family Care, Social Services, Nature and Scholarships for Secondary School Students

Krakonoš's Gardens

This programme focuses on the protection of nature and biodiversity. We support things like the establishment of flowering meadows and pools, the revitalisation of parks, water retention in the landscape and the greening of inner-city courtyards. We accept applications from 1 September to 1 October 2025. The KRNAP Administration is the guarantor; partners are the Kokořínsko – Máchův kraj Protected Landscape Area and the Orlické hory Protected Landscape Area.

Region Without Barriers — Support for Carers

This grant helps those who care for their loved ones every day. We fund peer-support groups, psychological counselling, therapeutic services, homesharing and respite activities. Applications are accepted from 15 September to 10 October 2025.

Region Without Barriers — Social Inclusion and Maintaining Social Bonds

The call aims to increase the quality and accessibility of social services. We will support sheltered housing, day centres and respite services, as well as innovation, interdisciplinary cooperation and services for seniors and people with mental illness. Applications are accepted from 15 September to 10 October 2025. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Association of Social Service Providers are partners.

Scholarships for International Stays

For the fifth year running, we're offering scholarships for secondary school students for a long-term stay abroad in cooperation with the AFS organisation. Selected scholarship holders can receive up to CZK 250,000; the condition is that on their return they create their own project on the theme of sustainability. Applications are open from 30 September to 2 November 2025.

For those interested in scholarships, we're also preparing interactive workshops:

  • 17 September, Mladá Boleslav (9.00–14.00, Vzdělávací centrum Na Karmeli 1457)

  • 1 October, Rychnov nad Kněžnou (13.00–15.00, the small hall of Pelclovo divadlo)

  • 3 October, Vrchlabí (13.00–15.00, Krkonoše Museum)

The aim of the workshops is for students to try translating an idea into a concrete project plan they can use when applying for the NFŠA scholarship, in international programmes such as ESC or Erasmus+, in grant calls and when approaching local partners. You can sign up HERE
