On 19 September, Mladá Boleslav will once again be transformed into a huge creative workshop. The eighth edition of Maker Faire has the theme ‘Transformation’

Press release: On Saturday 19 September 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm, the Pluhárna in Mladá Boleslav will, for the eighth time, be transformed into the venue for the Maker Faire festival, once again organised by the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund. Visitors can look forward to dozens of exhibits from local and national creators, workshops for children and adults, and the popular science show. This year’s eighth edition has the theme ‘Transformation’, which runs throughout the programme.

Kolowrat Castle will light up the Maják Festival. It will bring light installations and video mapping to the Rychnov region

Press release: On 30 and 31 October, the travelling ‘Maják’ Festival of Light will visit the Rychnov region for the first time. It will transform Kolowrat Castle in Rychnov nad Kněžnou and its surroundings into a nocturnal spectacle filled with light installations, video mapping and interactive experiences. The festival, organised this year by Kultura Rychnov nad Kněžnou s. r. o. with financial support from the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund (NFŠA) and the town of Rychnov nad Kněžnou, will be held in the Rychnov region for the first time. The historic architecture, the castle park and the Church of the Holy Trinity will, on this occasion, be exceptionally open to visitors after dark. This year’s edition will combine the theme of space with the region’s history.

Mladá Boleslav will once again be transformed into an art gallery. The ‘City=Gallery’ festival will bring world art together with the local community.

The Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, Solnice, Kvasiny, and the Bělá Microregion Join Forces

Press Release: Representatives of the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund (NFŠA), the city of Solnice, the municipality of Kvasiny, and the Voluntary Association of Municipalities (DSO) of the Bělá Microregion signed a memorandum of cooperation for the period 2026–2028 on Thursday, July 16. This builds on joint projects from previous years and sets priorities for the area’s further development. The cooperation will focus primarily on high-quality public spaces, education, support for community life, and greater resident involvement in the region’s development.
