The main objective of the project is to build a pedestrian crossing on the busy road I/14 and thus increase traffic safety especially for pedestrians. The newly built crossing will be adapted for people with reduced mobility. The purpose of the project lies primarily in the need to create a safe pedestrian crossing in the place that most naturally connects the residential and recreational and sports part of Vrchlabí.
